Dave Black (born 1959) is the co-author of numerous books, including Alfred's Drum Method, Alfred's Beginning Drumset Method, Alfred's Kid's Drum Course, Contemporary Brush Techniques, Drumset Independence and Syncopation, Living Praise, Cymals: A Crash Course, The Essential Dictionary of Orchestration, A Jazz Diary, and Sound Innovations for Concert Band.
